Janet Eagan, RN, MPH, CIC- is a registered nurse with 20 years’ experience as a staff nurse, having worked in Intensive care, ambulatory care and oncology. In 1986, Janet became an infection control practitioner at NYH Queens and went on to direct the Infection Control Department there. Since 1992, Janet has been the Manager of the Infection Control Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering. She specializes on infection control in the oncology patient population and has published numerous articles in this field.
Janet has a Masters of Public Health from New York University and is certified by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology.

Lisa Waldowski is the Infection Control Specialist for The Joint Commission enterprise, under the Standards Interpretation Group (SIG) at The Joint Commission. In her role, Ms. Waldowski advises surveyors with interpretations and education of infection control findings, and responds to challenging questions, complaints, and potential threat to life/patient safety infection control related events.
Ms. Waldowski has been with The Joint Commission since January 2013. Prior to joining The Joint Commission, Ms. Waldowski worked with Shriner’s Hospitals for Children – Honolulu , the State of Hawaii Department of Health, and Hawaii Pacific Health in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Ms. Waldowski earned her DNP from RUSH University. She is certified as an Infection Control Practitioner.
Bruce E. Hirsch MD, FACP, AAHIVS

Bruce Hirsch MD is an infectious disease specialist with over 30 years of experience. He is board certified in Geriatric Medicine as well as Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. He has co-chaired the Medication Safety Committee at North Shore University Hospital and is currently co-chair of the Northwell Health System Pharmacy Committee. He is interested in preventive health strategies and works closely with his patients to promote complete healing. He is interested in the role of healthy bacteria of the human microbiome in health and illness.
